| We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer who unconditionally loves hardware and is willing to help our team in managing and maintaining it in an automated way. Currently we have challenging hardware lifecycling projects, some expansion work in the US, constant automation work improvements and some interesting work with new flavors creation (newest AMD cpus, NVMe disks, etc.). Of course, not mentioning developing internal asset management tool, constant improvement for RedFish based server monitoring and some other technical challengers. Stack you will be working with: Foreman, Redfish, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Zabbix, Phyton, IPMI and some more. We are responsible for wellbeing of ~2000 physical servers distributed in 7 datacenters globally, including all the internal and external networking. We also provide core services like DC Networks, Active Directory, DNS, Consul, SMTP and many others to ~ 400 stakeholders in different countries. We are the ones ensuring stable, predictable and scalable infrastructure based on our business needs. Our team consists of best-in-class Linux and Windows engineers, Network gurus and hardware professors. So, you will have plenty room to grow and develop your skillset. Within IT we are part of the bigger family, namely: DevOps engineers Cloud (Openstack) Engineers Kubernetes professionals Database engineers And some others Your responsibilities
- Own server lifecycle process (install, decommissioning, planning, maintaining with 3rd party help)
- Maintain and improve hardware management processes, automation workflows
- Maintain and improve monitoring (inventory crawlers, metrics shippers, etc.)
- Oversee OS image building automation and adoption for new hardware
We expect you
- Love "Automation first" idea
- Are experienced in Linux (CentOS/Rocky) and can prove it
- Have good scripting skills
- Can communicate clearly and have good organizational skills with stakeholders
- Curious, informal and treat others with respect
It would be an advantage if you
- Have hands-on experience in configuration management tools i.e. Puppet, Ansible, etc.
- Have experience with any of monitoring tools, i.e. Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, etc.
